A woman from São Paulo who lives in the city of Montpellier, in the south of France, for eight years, was stabbed by a man, in the early hours of this Tuesday, the 8th, in Copacabana, in the South Zone of Rio. Businesswoman Janaína da Silva Campos, 48, was sitting at around 1 am at the door of a hotel on Francisco de Sá Street when she was approached by a criminal who attacked her in the back, arms and neck. Footage from a security camera recorded the action and show the victim being rescued by a doorman and taken to the Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital, in Leblon, where she was attended to.

According to the tourist, she had returned from a dinner with friends to the hotel where they were staying. As smoking is not allowed in the place, she went to the sidewalk for a few minutes. At that moment, she even heard the bandit "mumble" and turned to him, being surprised by the stab wounds. Janaina said she left the country precisely because of fear of violence. At the time, she was working as a masseur at a hotel on Cumbuco Beach, in Fortaleza, Ceará, when the establishment was robbed.

Nathan Reeves was recording a podcast at a local Houston cafe when a car crashed through the window, nearly hitting Reeves and a friend.

No one was seriously injured, though Reeves said he got some glass cuts on his back. A silver lining was that the crash brought the new podcaster a lot of social media attention.

He and a friend, Alexsey Reyes, were recording at Tout Suite in downtown Houston around 4:30 p.m. when the crash occurred. Reyes is a photographer and they were talking about creativity for the podcast.

Happened on August 13, 2014, around 10:30 am, on E40 highway near Aalter in Belgium

25 years old Jasmien Claeys was driving her Ford on E40 highway, when she decided to take the next exit. Unfortunately her vision was obscured by DHL trailer and she crashed into a stopped trucks trailer. After that her car was hit second time by MAN truck driving behind her. Ford was completly destroyed, but Jasmien survived. She was taken to the hospital, spent some time in coma and now she had completly recovered. Incredible luck.

Dash cam mounted in MAN truck captured the crash and the footage was uploaded to Facebook. It quickly went viral (it has more than 10 mln views now).

Footage captured in the kitchen of a house in Illingworth, West Yorkshire, captures a popping noise, which alerts the homeowner to come downstairs, where the e-bike was being charged indoors.

As they come down, a huge fire erupts, with flames rapidly spreading across the room.

Five people were taken to hospital, with one suffering burns to their mouth and windpipe, though none of them suffered life-threatening injuries.

The blaze was triggered by thermal runaway, which is when too much heat is generated in a battery.

It is the latest in a number of well-publicised fires caused by e-bike batteries.

"While fires involving lithium batteries are common, having a video showing the violence of the fire's development is not," said watch manager John Cavalier at West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

"It's clear to see in the video that the fire is absolutely horrifying – none of us would want this to happen in our homes."

The fire broke out at about 1am on February 24. Five people were taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.

The kitchen was severely damaged from smoke and the heat. Other rooms were also affected after the occupants fled and left doors open behind them.
