A tragedy this Thursday morning (4) shocked the capital of Amazonas. A woman identified as Marcela Soledade Said, just 25 years old, died as a result of a motorcycle accident on Rua Valério Botelho de Andrade, in the São Francisco neighborhood, in the south of Manaus.

The victim was on his way to work with his partner at the time of the accident. In a video released on social media, it is possible to see the moment in which the motorcycle driver tries to overtake and ends up being hit by the truck, which passes over the woman who was on the back.

Marcela was an administration intern and worked at Manaus City Hall at the company Centro de Cooperação da Cidade. Family and friends reported on social media that Marcela was a young woman full of life, happy and much loved.

An accident involving a bus left one person dead and another injured in the Maracanã neighborhood, in the North Zone of Rio, this Wednesday. According to the Military Police, the bus had run over the two people. The driver was taken to the 25th DP (Engenho Novo), to provide clarification on the possible causes of the accident. According to the Fire Department, the call was made at 12:50 p.m. The collision took place on Rua São Francisco Xavier, near the community of Mangueira.

Videos circulating on social media show the despair of the people present at the scene. The bus traveling on line 249 (Água Santa-Carioca) hit the victims in front of a mechanic shop. In the images, it is possible to see motorcycles and tires spread across the track.

César Gomes, 44, died at the scene. Alan Silva, 40 years old, was taken to the Souza Aguiar Municipal Hospital. He is in stable condition.

Corey Scott was a motorcycle stuntman from Indiana that specialized in precision driving. On February 8th 1997 Scott was performing a stunt at Orange Bowl stadium in Miami, Florida. The stunt called for Scott to grab onto a large net after jumping a ramp on his motorcycle. He made the jump but didn't manage to grab hold of the net, and fell 60 feet to his death. When Scott hit the ground, he landed on his head and broke his neck.

A BMW engulfed in massive flames claimed the life of the driver after a collision with a taxi in southern China.

The terrifying video was filmed in the city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province on October 18 2023.

A speeding BMW swerved into the path of an oncoming taxi and had a collision with it. The BMW then lost control, slamming into a bridge pillar, flipping onto its side and erupting into a ball of flames.

Heroic bystanders raced to the scene but the raging fire swiftly consumed the car, leaving nothing but its charred skeletal frame in its wake.

By the time firefighters arrived to douse the inferno and emergency medical services scrambled to attend to the injured, the heartbreaking discovery was made. The driver of the BMW, a man in his 30s, had tragically lost his life in the blaze.

A fatal accident between a motorbike and a trontoon truck occurred on Jalan Colonel Sugiono, Malang City on Saturday (27/4/2024) morning. The accident resulted in the motorbike rider, a resident of Mergosono, dying at the scene.

Head of Malang City Police Traffic Unit Gakkum, Ipda Isrofi, said that the accident involved a TVS NEO motorbike with registration number N 5259 EN driven by Buamin (66), a resident of Mergosono, Malang City with a Hino tronton truck with registration number N 9436 UU driven by Yulianto (38), resident Tegal Regency.

Initially, the victim was riding a motorbike walking from east to west at around 06.00 WIB. At that time, the victim was about to turn right or north on the road. However, unfortunately the victim was hit by a trontoon truck which was traveling from south to north.

It is known that the victim's body was dragged by the rear wheel of the tronton truck for several meters. This resulted in serious injuries to the victim's chest.

Isrofi suspects that the victim was negligent in not giving priority to the vehicle that was going straight when the victim turned to the right of the road.

"The provisional suspicion is that his negligence did not give priority to vehicles traveling straight until an accident occurred," he said.
