Gauteng police have launched a manhunt after a security guard was shot and killed and another wounded in a robbery incident at a Shoprite store in Ekurhuleni.

The incident happened on the evening of July 20 at the supermarket's store in Ratanda mall, Heidelberg. Video footage showing the shocking incident has since surfaced online.

In the footage, a man is seen attempting to enter the store before being stopped by a guard who appears to first question him and then search him, leading to some resistance from the man. A scuffle then ensues between the two, with the man seen taking out a firearm and trying to aim it at the guard. The guard is then seen pushing the man to the ground before the man's accomplices rush to the scene and shoot the guard several times.

Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Lungelo Dlamini confirmed the armed robbery at the store.

"During the armed robbery, a security guard was shot and killed and another taken to the hospital with an injury to his hand," he said.

He confirmed that one person had been arrested in connection with the robbery and is facing murder, attempted murder, armed robbery and possession of unlicensed firearm charges. He has since appeared in the Heidelberg Magistrates' court on Monday where the case was remanded.

"A manhunt for the other suspects is continuing," he said.

Adding to this was Shoprite, who also confirmed the incident and sent its condolences to the victim's family.

In the center of Abinsk, a motorcyclist crashed into a car at night and died on the spot. This was announced on February 15 by the telegram channel "DTP Abinsk". They also published the moment of the accident, which was captured by CCTV cameras.

In the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Kuban portal 93.RU they said that the accident occurred on February 14 at about 20:00 in Abinsk on Sovetov Street. According to preliminary data, at an unregulated intersection, an unlicensed driver was riding a Ranger motorcycle, did not give way and crashed into a Nissan Almera car driven by a 36-year-old man.

The motorcyclist died, he was 18 years old. The driver of the foreign car was not injured.

Shocking body cam video captured the moment a Colorado cop tased a fleeing man after a traffic stop — who then fell across the lanes of a busy highway, where he was fatally struck by a passing SUV.

Deputy Lorenzo Lujan stopped Brent Allen Thompson, 28, about 9 p.m. Feb. 18 near a hotel off Interstate 25 in Larimer County when he noticed that his Ford Fusion had expired tags, 9 News reported.

But Thompson got onto northbound I-25 and Lujan followed him until the driver stopped near the Mountain Vista Drive exit, according to the outlet, which cited a letter by District Attorney Gordon McLaughlin.

Thompson, of Loveland, identified himself as “Jacob Jones,” but the deputy – who was joined by a partner at the scene — quickly discovered that he gave a fake name.

The driver insisted that he had not lied but bolted when told he was under arrest – running down an embankment toward the highway, the newly released video shows.

“Stop or you're gonna get Tased! Stop!” Lujan shouts.

He then fires the weapn after Thompson jumps a guardrail and collapses along the road

“S—! S—!” the deputy exclaims as the oncoming SUV slams into Thompson.

A draft officer was shot in Ust-Ilimsk, in the Irkutsk region in Siberia. Video showed him being shot at close range by another man dressed in camouflage clothing as other potential draftees fled the room.

The official was carried from the building and placed on to a stretcher. He appeared not to be moving. According to a witness, the man shot the draft officer after he had given a “clumsy” pep talk for the men to go and fight in Ukraine. “Nobody is going to go anywhere,” the man said moments before opening fire
