Two trans girls cut off their dicks themselves. Interestingly, they had the money for breast surgery, but not vaginoplasty. It is very likely that they will soon get an infection in such a wound or have to seek medical help when the wound heals and they cannot urinate.

EFFORTPOST Extrem anorexic girls MEGATHREAD + INFORMATIONPOST :marseywave2: (Nudity warning)

Why people get anorexic/ want to get skinnier and skinnier

1. Genetics: There is evidence to suggest that genetics play a role in the development of anorexia. Individuals with a family history of eating disorders are more likely to develop anorexia themselves, indicating a genetic predisposition.

2. Psychological Factors: Psychological factors such as low self-esteem, perfectionism, anxiety, depression, and difficulty coping with emotions or stress can contribute to the development of anorexia. Individuals may use food restriction as a way to cope with negative emotions or gain a sense of control.

3. Sociocultural Influences: Societal pressure to achieve an ideal body shape or weight, often portrayed in media and reinforced by cultural norms, can contribute to the development of anorexia. Constant exposure to images of thinness and the glorification of extreme weight loss can lead individuals to strive for unattainable standards of beauty.

4. Environmental Factors: Stressful life events such as trauma, abuse, bullying, or significant life changes can trigger the onset of anorexia in vulnerable individuals. Additionally, family dynamics, parental attitudes toward weight and body image, and peer influences may contribute to the development of disordered eating behaviors.

5. Personality Traits: Certain personality traits, such as perfectionism, rigidity, and obsessive-compulsive tendencies, are common in individuals with anorexia and may contribute to the development and maintenance of the disorder.

Mental state

Anorexia nervosa and depression are two mental health disorders that commonly co-occur and can significantly impact an individual's well-being. Anorexia nervosa is characterized by restrictive eating patterns, an intense fear of gaining weight, and a distorted body image, while depression involves persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and loss of interest or pleasure in activities.

The relationship between anorexia and depression is complex and multifaceted. Many individuals with anorexia experience symptoms of depression, and vice versa, leading to a vicious cycle of negative thoughts and behaviors. Some of the ways in which anorexia and depression may intersect include:

1. Negative self-image: Both anorexia and depression can involve negative self-perceptions and feelings of worthlessness or inadequacy. Individuals with anorexia may experience depressive symptoms related to their body image and weight, while those with depression may have low self-esteem and negative beliefs about themselves.

2. Emotional distress: The rigid dietary restrictions and weight loss efforts associated with anorexia can lead to significant emotional distress and exacerbate symptoms of depression. Feelings of guilt, shame, and anxiety about eating or body shape may contribute to depressive symptoms and further reinforce maladaptive behaviors.

3. Withdrawal and isolation: Depression often causes individuals to withdraw from social interactions and isolate themselves from others. Similarly, anorexia can lead to social withdrawal and avoidance of situations involving food or eating, further exacerbating feelings of loneliness and isolation.

4. Coping mechanisms: Both anorexia and depression may involve maladaptive coping mechanisms to deal with emotional distress. Individuals may use disordered eating behaviors, self-harm, substance abuse, or other harmful behaviors as a way to numb painful emotions or gain a sense of control.

5. Biological factors: There is evidence to suggest that biological factors, such as genetic predisposition, neurochemical imbalances, and hormonal fluctuations, may contribute to the development of both anorexia and depression. Changes in brain chemistry and neurotransmitter function may play a role in the onset and maintenance of these disorders.

Survival rate

The mortality rate associated with anorexia is estimated to be around 5-10%, with some studies suggesting even higher rates, particularly among individuals with severe cases or those who do not receive adequate treatment.

Individuals with anorexia are at increased risk of suicide compared to the general population, with estimates suggesting that up to 20% of deaths in individuals with anorexia are due to suicide. Depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and feelings of hopelessness or despair are common co-occurring factors that contribute to the elevated risk of suicide in individuals with anorexia.

Help

Help for individuals struggling with anorexia nervosa is available and typically involves a multidisciplinary approach that addresses both the physical and psychological aspects of the disorder. Here are some key components of treatment for anorexia:

1. Medical Care: Medical treatment is essential for managing the physical complications associated with anorexia, such as malnutrition, electrolyte imbalances, heart irregularities, and osteoporosis. This may involve regular monitoring of vital signs, nutritional assessments, laboratory tests, and medical interventions as needed.

2. Psychotherapy: Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, is a cornerstone of anorexia treatment and aims to address the underlying psychological factors contributing to the disorder. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family-based therapy (FBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and interpersonal therapy (IPT) are among the therapeutic approaches commonly used in the treatment of anorexia.

3. Nutritional Counseling: Nutritional counseling and meal support are essential components of anorexia treatment to help individuals normalize eating patterns, establish healthy relationships with food, and achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Registered dietitians specializing in eating disorders can provide personalized meal plans, nutritional education, and guidance on meal preparation and planning.

4. Medication: In some cases, medication may be prescribed to manage co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Additionally, medications may be used to address symptoms such as insomnia, mood instability, or gastrointestinal issues associated with anorexia.

5. Support Groups: Support groups, either in-person or online, can provide valuable peer support, encouragement, and validation for individuals with anorexia. Being able to connect with others who understand their struggles can help individuals feel less isolated and more motivated to engage in treatment.

6. Hospitalization or Residential Treatment: In severe cases of anorexia where medical stabilization or intensive monitoring is required, hospitalization or residential treatment may be necessary. These settings provide round-the-clock medical supervision, nutritional support, and intensive therapy to address the immediate health risks associated with anorexia.

7. Holistic Approaches: Holistic approaches such as yoga, mindfulness meditation, art therapy, and expressive therapies may complement traditional treatment methods by promoting self-awareness, stress reduction, and emotional healing.

It's important for individuals with anorexia to seek help from qualified healthcare professionals specializing in eating disorders as soon as possible. Recovery from anorexia is possible with early intervention, ongoing support, and a comprehensive treatment approach tailored to the individual's needs. If you or someone you know is struggling with anorexia, encourage them to reach out for help and support.

National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA): NEDA offers a Helpline that provides support, resources, and referrals to individuals and families affected by eating disorders. You can reach the Helpline by calling 1-800-931-2237 or by texting "NEDA" to 741741. NEDA's website also has a search tool to find treatment providers, support groups, and other resources in your area.

girl crying due to attempted suicide. cut down to tendons or maybe bone?

(not OC)

according to her twitter, she attempted this in her school and immediately went to hospital after realizing what she had done after seeing the white tissue. she isnt sure whether the white tissue seen is bone or tendons, but based off of the location i believe they are tendons.

this is the first time she had ever cut this deep. before this, she had only cut into the epidermis (cat scratches and almost styros).

edit* also, she confirmed on twitter this was a suicide attempt. not sure why she decided to go to hospital but im glad she did.
