A couple of youngsters were shot dead after being evacuated from their home in the Liberdade neighborhood of Salvador, in the early hours of this Friday (May 6). According to the Civil Police, 10 men stormed the property, kidnapped the two, and shot them dead on Sete de Abril Street.

The victims are Renan Lima de Carvalho, 22, and Fabiana dos Santos Sousa, 21. The Military Police was called by residents, with the information that there were two people who were victims of gunfire on the ground. Upon arriving at the scene, the team found the couple already lifeless.

Agents cordoned off the area and called the Technical Police Department (DPT), which removed the bodies and carried out the investigation. The military searched the area, but no one was located. The Civil Police investigates the fact and determines who committed the crime, as well as the motivation. There are no details about the burial of Renan and Fabiana.

On January 21, 2023, the city of Cúcuta, Colombia, witnessed a brutal attack that shocked the community. Andrés Alberto Sosa Perdomo, a young man of only 22 years old, was stabbed more than 50 times in broad daylight under the Eustorgio bridge. The crime was recorded on video and shared on social networks, generating a wave of indignation and demands for justice.

The video shows the cruelty of the attack. One of the attackers, without warning, began stabbing Sosa repeatedly. They retained and recorded the scene. The individual behind the camera encouraged him to stab Sosa in the face, adding an unimaginable level of cruelty. The wounds covered his head, back, chest and abdomen, causing him to lose his life.

Murder in Binh Thuan: Beating people to death with a hammer and then surrendering to the police

The murder in Binh Thuan happened when the suspect suddenly hit the victim with a hammer and then casually left. The suspect then turned himself in to the police station.

On October 18, the police of Phan Thiet City (Binh Thuan) detained the suspect Nguyen Van Ngoc (39 years old, living in Lang Son) to hand over to the police station Ham Thuan Bac to investigate the act of "murder". Regarding the murder case in Binh Thuan, at 13:00 on October 18, a young man went to the police headquarters of Phan Thiet City to declare and surrender himself as a murder suspect in the murder case that happened more than an hour earlier in Ham Thuan Bac, Binh Thuan.

Phan Thiet City police said that this person claimed to be Nguyen Van Ngoc, 39 years old, residing in Huu Lung, Lang Son province , to temporarily reside in Suoi Da village, Hong Son commune, Ham Thuan Bac district (it is not clear what the suspect does).

According to initial information, the incident happened at about 10:40 am on October 18 at a gas store along National Highway 1 (in hamlet 3, Hong Son commune, Ham Thuan Bac district). Data from the camera recorded showed that Nguyen Van Ngoc entered the store mentioned above. At this time, in front of the gas store, there were Mr. Nguyen Van Hoan (42 years old, living in Hong Son commune) and another person playing chess on a stone bench.

At 2:50 p.m. on the same day (October 18), a leader of Binh Thuan Provincial General Hospital told PV Thanh Nien that the victim had died.

Currently, Ham Thuan Bac Police and professional departments of Binh Thuan Provincial Police are holding murder suspects, investigating the scene and investigating the cause of the murder.

A man working on a pipeline project in Taichung City lost his life after he was sucked through a hole he had just made in a water pipe Monday, November 30, 2021.

The 50-year-old man, named Zeng, was working on a Taiwan Water Corporation pipeline replacement project in Tanzi District when the accident occurred at around 11:30 am.

The incident was recorded on video from someone standing above the trench. The video footage showed Zeng atop the steel pipe using a lump hammer to knock out a 60 x 40 centimeter square piece that had been cut by a coworker. However, when the steel plate finally gave way, Zeng lost his balance, falling forward. Zeng momentarily caught himself, but the suction force caused by the vacuum in the pipe sucked him feet-first into the pipe.

Zeng’s coworkers pulled Zeng out of the pipe, but he had lost vital signs by the time paramedics arrived, and was later declared dead at the hospital.

The Ministry of Labor and other relevant agencies are currently investigating the incident. The incident is one of three fatal industrial accidents reported in Taiwan’s news media today. In Yilan, a welder died while working in an enclosed space due to a buildup of argon gas, and in Kaohsiung, a backhoe driver was buried alive after a chimney collapsed on a demolition site.
