In a narrow part of the lower course less than twenty seconds from the finish, Maier's right ski caught an inside edge at 105 km/h (65 mph), possibly from a patch of soft snow, and caused a violent crash which broke her neck.

On May 8, 1982, Villeneuve died after an accident during the final qualifying session for the Belgian Grand Prix at Zolder. With eight minutes of the session left, Villeneuve came over the rise after the first chicane and caught Jochen Mass travelling much more slowly through Butte, the left-handed bend before the Terlamenbocht double right-hand section. Mass saw Villeneuve approaching at high speed and moved to the right to let him through on the racing line. At the same instant Villeneuve also moved right to pass the slower car. The Ferrari hit the back of Mass' car and was launched into the air at a speed estimated at 200 to 225 km/h (124 to 140 mph). It was airborne for more than 100 m (330 ft) before nosediving into the ground and disintegrating as it somersaulted along the edge of the track. Villeneuve, still strapped to his seat, but now without his helmet, was thrown a further 50 m (160 ft) from the wreckage into the catch fencing on the outside edge of the Terlamenbocht corner.

Good morning everyone. So guys, yesterday I realized that here in the community, a topic about depression and suicide started to emerge. People saying they've lost friends and other people saying they're going through it.

I wanted to say to all of you that... You are to be congratulated! It is an extremely sensitive and complex subject to be debated here, because anyone who has it or has experienced the suicide of someone they love You can't express what you really feel.

I am happy to see that we are not just a community where we see people die on a daily basis as a way for us to raise awareness and rethink what happens around us, But we also have the welcoming spirit of trying to understand and help those at the bottom of the pit. It's a gesture I've rarely seen in gore communities.

Sometimes I want to try to help someone who has depression or schizophrenia or whatever, but it's really hard to do that. You may have the disease, but for you to explain how each gear turns is very difficult. And you guys put yourself through the difficulty of approaching such a sensitive subject to try to help people who sometimes come here to watch suicide videos and try to gain some courage in in doing...

I just have to thank you guys, because like it or not, I feel good and comfortable watching this too! :D

I will not pin this post, I will (as one member here said) leave it so that anyone who really needs to talk about it can find this post.
