The e-rickshaw driver stopped in the middle of a busy road and suddenly took a U-turn. The man, identified as Akash Singh, lost control of the motorcycle and overturned after colliding with the e-rickshaw. He was taken to hospital by other commuters, but the 21-year-old died on the way.

The e-rickshaw driver fled the scene after the accident. Police case filed based on victim's father's complaint, probe is underway.

Either driver or passenger were ejected from the vehicle (it was not specified).

Car driver died on spot. His passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Due diligence by an alert cop helped unearth a road accident which the perpetrator tried to pass off as a natural death of an elderly woman.

On September 10, 73-year-old Pushpa Keni was brought to Sion Hospital by a 43-year-old man, who narrated the story of how the elderly lady collapsed in front of his vehicle and he was the good Samaritan rushing her to a medical facility.

A resident of Bhandarwada in Sion, Keni was returning home at the time of the incident. As per her son Prashant, 56, she used to go to the temple on foot every Ekadashi. She left home at 3pm and within 30 minutes the family received a call that she had “collapsed” on the road in front of a vehicle and the driver, Ismail Ansari, rushed her to hospital. Keni died the next day and the grieving family thanked Ansari for trying to save her. They, therefore, didn't register a case with the police.

The police were notified about the matter by the hospital, though. As the family hadn't approached them, police sub-inspector Indrajit Chavan went through CCTV camera footage of the day of the accident and found Ansari's Toyota Innova knocking down Keni when she was crossing the road. The footage also showed Ansari picking up the victim and shifting her inside the car.

On September 16, Chavan called up Prashant Keni and asked him to come down to the police station where he showed him the footage. “Prashant refused to register an FIR despite telling him multiple times. So we arrested Ansari suo moto,” said a senior police official.

Ansari was arrested on Sunday evening under section 279 (rash driving), 304A (causing death due to negligence), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 184 (driving dangerously) and 134 (b) (not reporting the circumstances of the occurrence (accident) to a police officer or a police station), of the Motor Vehicles Act. A driver by profession, Ansari was presented in court on Monday by the police.

A contrail is a line-shaped cloud formed by the water vapor from aircraft engines. When airplanes fly at high altitudes, the hot exhaust gases mix with the cold, low-pressure air, causing the water vapor to condense and freeze into tiny ice crystals. Those crystals then form a visible trail behind the aircraft.

Heartbreaking video obtained by The Post has solved the mystery of what happened to a woman found crushed to death Friday on a Brooklyn street — she was struck by a backhoe whose driver apparently never even saw her.

The video shows the yellow construction vehicle striking 61-year-old Estelle Davis with its shovel before running her over and dragging her along the corner of New Lots and Van Sinderen avenues in East New York.

Neither the driver nor a worker nearby appears to notice as Davis falls and then disappears under the vehicle.

The backhoe then lurches forward, leaving the woman motionless on the street, video shows.

Cops arrived and found Davis unresponsive around 2:20 p.m.

Davis was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police initially said the victim may have been hit by a car, and they continue to investigate the incident. No arrests have been made.

The DVR captured the moment of a fatal accident that occurred on January 17 in the morning on the 148 kilometer of the Tomsk —Kargala —Kolpashevo highway. The 73-year-old driver of a Toyota Carina drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Toyota Corona driven by a 35-year-old woman. The 55-year-old passenger of the Carina, as well as the 34-year-old passenger of the Corona, died at the scene of the accident.
