Rockland County, NY, US. In March 1985 some young boys found a charred and mutilated corpse in a smokehouse on the Rockland County property of a family named LeGeros. The victim – wearing a black leather hood was used in sadomasochistic rituals – turned out to be Eigil Dag Vesti, a handsome young fashion student from Norway who had been missing from his downtown Manhattan haunts for several weeks. It soon developed that Vesti had been murdered in a bizarre sadomasochistic scenario created by 57th Street art dealer Andrew Crispo and his assistant, Bernard LeGeros, a son of the couple who owned the estate. LeGeros confessed that he had fired the gun that killed Vesti, but said that he had done so at Mr. Crispo's behest.

A leather mask was partially covering the victims face, and through the winter months there had been substancial animal scavenging on the corpse. An identification was possible through dental reccords and also visually on the preserved part of the head. This case became known as the Death Mask Murder case.

Vesti was apparently a willing victim who got more than he bargained for. Meeting Crispo at a bar, Vesti went home with him, where he was savaged in the way he seemed to crave. But then, flying high on cocaine, Crispo began to talk of killing him, according toLeGeros's testimony. The two, taking along a rifle, drove Vesti up to the Rockland County home of LeGeros's family, and after some more wild action, according to LeGeros, Crispo gave the order to shoot. And LeGeros obeyed. "He snapped," Crispo later said.

Crispo was not charged in the case. Apart from LeGeros's testimony there was no corroborating evidence, so Crispo went scot-free. Subpoenaed for LeGeros's trial, he took the 5th and 14th Amendments, which protected him from being forced to testify against himself. However, soon afterward, he was sentenced to seven years in prison for income tax evasion – he owed almost $4 million on income of $10 million – a sentence later reduced to five years, of which he served three.

Soon after his release from prison in 1989, a massive explosion leveled Crispo's cherished house in Southampton, where he had hung some of his most prized works of art. (Before his imprisonment, sales of part of his collection at Sotheby's and Christie's netted Mr. Crispo and his creditors nearly $20 million.) But in 1991 a jury awarded him $8.6 million from the Long Island Lighting Company – which admitted that an accident in the form of a gas leak under the house had been the cause.

In 2019 Bernard LeGeros was paroled after serving 3 decades behind bars for the crime.

In Slovenia – On January 1st of last year [2024] a 56 year old lady from Slovenia was hit by a faulty firework set off by her relative to celebrate the year of 2024. Little did she know she would die on that not so joyous night. The rocket penetrated the lady's right eye and damaged her brain. Despite immediate medical attention, she was pronounced dead.

Young Rafael Bruno Pereira Sobreira, aged 24, was shot dead inside a business in the municipality of Epitaciolândia, in the interior of Acre, this Wednesday (18).

According to police information, Rafael is a resident of the neighborhood and was going to a store to buy cigarettes, when he was surprised by an armed criminal who arrived on a motorcycle and wearing an Epitaciolândia City Hall uniform.

The bandit shot Rafael in the back and, after the victim fell, fired several more shots. The other people who were in the commercial establishment were not injured. After the action, the criminal fled the scene.

One of the hypotheses cited as the cause of the crime by the Military Police would be the sexual orientation of the victim, who appeared in a photograph making gestures of a criminal organization. However, the faction does not accept homosexuals and allegedly ordered the young man to be killed.

In an audio sent to ContilNet, a witness confirms the police version. "All of this he died because he posted a photo. You know that gays can't join the faction. They killed him out of cruelty," he says.

The case will be investigated by the Epitaciolândia Civil Police.

A video circulated in the early evening of Monday (17) 2022, shows a still unidentified woman, being executed with several shots to the face inside a residence located in Barra de Projuca.

Allen Lee Davis (July 20, 1944 – July 8, 1999) was an American murderer who was executed for the 1982 murder of Nancy Weiler, who was three months pregnant, in Jacksonville, Florida. According to reports, Nancy Weiler was "beaten almost beyond recognition" by Davis with a .357 Magnum, and hit more than 25 times in the face and head. He was additionally convicted of killing Nancy Weiler's two daughters, Kristina, age 9, who was shot twice in the face, and Katherine, age 5, who was shot as she tried to run away and then had her skull beaten in with the gun.

Complex suicides like this are basically when you do a mix of two or more suicide methods at once to ensure death if one method fails. (This is a weird example, but think of somebody shooting themselves as they jump off a high building/ledge)

Complex suicides are more of a rare occurrence, but can definitely still happen. In this case, the man hung but also shot himself with a captive bolt, commonly used for slaughtering livestock

September, 2020 – Jacareí, Brazil. An elderly man identified as Benedito Moreira was arrested on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, after confessing in testimony to the Civil Police that he killed his own daughter, Marcela Bruni Moreira, and his son-in-law, Alexandre Moreira, both were 37 years old. The victims were found buried in a vegetable garden.

He claims that the crime occurred after his granddaughter told him that she had been sexually abused by her stepfather. According to the Civil Police, the disappearance of the couple was already being investigated for days when the team became suspicious of the behaviour of the old man, who lived with the pair.

The old man reportedly presented contradictory versions when questioned by police officers about blood marks found on the couple's mattress. Initially, he said loansharks invaded their home and killed his daughter and son-in-law, and then bury them in the backyard.

Before the confession, a news reporter visited the man and the home where he and the couple lived. He showed the reporter their bedroom and a box of insulin syringes that his daughter can't be without. At one point he even participated in a search effort to find his daughter, knowing she was buried in his garden.

According to the investigation, Benedito lured his daughter to the backyard, where he has a vegetable garden, and killed her with several sledgehammer blows. Then he went to the room where the son-in-law, who was asleep and killed him with an ax. To move the body he used a wheelbarrow. He then buried the two bodies in the back yard.

The old man admitted that the crime happened after his granddaughter told him that her stepfather, Alexandre, had rubbed her body several times. He then confronted his daughter about it, who said she did not believe the accusation and slapped her daughter in the presence of her stepfather. This behaviour irritated the old man, who then killed his daughter in the family garden, on September 12, and then killed his son-in-law who was sleeping. The alleged child abuse has not been proven by the police and they believe it's all made up. The old man was arrested for apparent double murder and an illegal disposal of a body, and obstruction of justice.

On 2012.11.27, at about 9:00 (The data and time on the dashcam is wrong), the entire Matsesta was paralyzed due to a fatal accident on Chaltenham Street on Sochi.

A Rover passenger car was overtaking in the oncoming traffic lane and crashed into a Kamaz at high speed. The driver of the passenger car, Danil Mukhin, born in 1983, died on the spot. The driver of the truck was not injured. After the collision with the foreign car, the Kamaz crashed into a tree.
